Ms. Francis has extensive experience in the areas of trusts and estates administration, Surrogate’s Court practice litigation and succession planning for multi-generational families.
Ms. Francis works closely with individual and institutional executors and trustees in the administration of estates and trusts in the States of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Her practice is focused on administration of complex estates with assets in multiple jurisdictions, representation of executors and trustees in various matters, including construction proceedings, trust and estate accounting proceedings, and will contest litigation proceedings. Ms. Francis has represented an institutional trustee in a proceeding commenced by a trust beneficiary asserting improper investments and a breach of fiduciary duty of impartiality in administering a trust. She has also handled administration of a complex estate where she represented an administrator in a kinship hearing proceeding in connection with distribution of property of an intestate decedent.
